The cusp of change…

The family and I are making a move.  We’ve felt for a while that it’s time to break free of city living, so the bullet has been bitten and we’re off to the country! Wahey!

Although the move will have it’s challenges (moving a home office for one!), I do feel that a change of scene to suit our lifestyle is WAY overdue.  So, Norfolk here we come! (Sorry Shropshire, you were pipped at the post.)

We were hoping to exchange contracts on the sale of our house today, but have to remain patient until early next week. This weekend we’re off to hunt down a rental property that will hopefully be within a five mile radius of Adam’s (my hubby) sister, near Loddon. 

There’s a faint voice in my head questioning why I don’t feel anxious about the prospect of finding a new place like,..NOW!  But I just know all will be well.

I have a clear vision of where I want to live.  I see myself standing in a well stocked garden looking out onto lush forested countryside.  My office has french doors leading out onto the garden; a constant connection to nature. 

I’m a nature person, not a city person and I’m just sooo looking forward to living in a place that better suits my lifestyle.  Living in the city when you don’t use it’s facilities is a bit like having a Ferrari in the garage when you don’t drive!  But then, having said that I’m sure there are plenty of folks that would love to have a Ferrari gathering dust in their garage. Hmmmmm. Not me

Of course, I haven’t even thought about packing yet.........

Oh no! I don’t feel like I did enough to convince you to move to Shropshire! But best of luck with your move and, in any case, you must visit Enterprise Nation headquarters in Shrewsbury. We’ll get the Ferrari out of the garage and everything.
