The Lotus Mission
Our goal is to facilitate the creation of 100,000 successful business mums in the next ten years. Why? Entrepreneurship is the most lasting and fulfilling way for mums to achieve a healthy balance between life and work. The cascade affect of this is more close knit families, with content and confident mums as positive role models for their children.
In today’s society many women feel an imbalance between working life and family life, and with it a perpetual feeling of guilt. At the core of our philosophy is the belief that all women (and men!) should be free to live a full and balanced life, finding fulfilment in personal, family and work commitments - GUILT FREE!

“Following the birth of my baby daughter I met lots of mums at various mother and baby groups who dreamed of working for themselves, instead of returning to employment. They didn’t want to work in jobs that didn’t recognise their new roles as mothers. Most mums could see the massive benefit of running their own home based business, but were unsure about whether or not they could do it, or lacked an idea. Because I was already working from home, mums often looked to me for inspiration and ideas. I could see how lucky I was, and also noticed from experience that there was a lack of accessible business support for mums and the challenges we face balancing our lives. I soon set about finding a way I could help other mums achieve a good work/life balance and the confidence to start and run a successful work from home business. And so, Lotus was born ... Lotus exists thanks to a growing network of people who are a source of coaching, training and home business support for mums searching for a better work/life balance. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s worked with me, and continues to work with me, to create a powerful resource for mums setting up home based businesses. Mums who work with Lotus are at various stages in their lives. Some have young babies and are thinking about returning to work after maternity leave. Others have older children at school, or who have left home. Still more are planning ahead for their future family. But what we all have in common is the belief that we are entitled to live a happy, balanced and fulfilling life Whilst we tailor our services to mums, we do of course welcome dads that need our help too!
